National Empowerment Fund � IT Server Room Project

Project Overview

The project involves the design, construction, and commissioning of a fully functional IT Server Room to host critical infrastructure for the NEF. The server room must meet industry standards for performance, safety, and compliance.

Scope includes:

• Site Preparation & Construction: Two options requested – brick & cement build or fireproof drywall.



• Environmental Control: Raised flooring for airflow, extractor fans with air filters, fire-rated walls and ceilings.



• Physical Security: Removal of windows, secure closures, fireproof doors (4–8 hours rating).



• Electrical Resilience: Installation of red power plugs, structured cabling, and resilient electrical systems.



• Compliance: Adherence to B-BBEE requirements, employment equity, and National Treasury CSD registration.



• Deliverables: Detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ), project milestones, warranty terms, and references of similar projects.
